CANNAFRIENDS 2024, northern Germany’s largest cannabis trade fair, will take place in Ilsede between Hanover and Braunschweig from September 20-22, 2024.
In the unique atmosphere of the blower hall of the former steelworks, interested parties, patients and consumers can learn new, unexpected and useful things about the useful, medicinal and intoxicating plant hemp from a wide variety of exhibitors and in lectures, workshops, deep dives and panel discussions.
You can expect a rich program on all topics related to cannabis on the main stage and the stage in the cannabis social club area – from medical use and legal aspects to cannabis social clubs and cultivation.

Cannabis in medicine: health and a better life are the order of the day here.
An important topic at CANNAFRIENDS is the use of cannabis in medicine. You can expand your knowledge in talks and panel discussions, for example with cannabis influencer, mom and cannabis patient Wenke Kühne-Lange and her husband Vincent Weed. Also on stage with us is cannabis patient and head of the well-known educational channel “@wir_verdampfen” Atilla Bülent Idil. If you want to delve even deeper into the subject matter, there will also be a deep dive with Mirta Rostas from CAPA Cannabis Patientenverein e. V. Berin. Dr. Shabnam Sarshar, co-founder of FemCan, a company that develops cannabis-based products for functional cosmetics and women’s health, will also be talking about better living. Another of our speakers is Katharina Cochrane-Seitz from Aqualitas, one of the leading suppliers of organically grown medicinal cannabis. Fun fact: Koi carp provide the best fertilizer for high-quality cannabis. Other topics are not neglected either – from everything to do with cultivation to cooking with cannabis.
We grow together: Everything about cultivation and cannabis social clubs
For all those interested in cannabis social clubs and grow clubs, there will be panel discussions with professional growers and club experts who will reveal one or two secrets for better cultivation or club development. On the other hand, we were able to win Steffen Geyer, one of the board members of the Hanfmuseum Berlin and chairman of the umbrella organization of German Cannabis Social Clubs. In a deep dive, he will share his expertise on the topics of hemp, founding CSCs and the certification of CSCs. If this makes you want to visit the Hemp Museum, Steffen will also be giving a virtual tour of the museum at the trade fair.
Legal, illegal, how again? Cannabis and the law
The law is a huge area in which there is a lot of uncertainty, many unanswered questions and a number of pitfalls. Just because more is allowed now than in the past does not mean that everything is allowed. Specialist lawyer Dr. jur. Marc Herzog, LL.M. from Munich has been one of the leading experts in the field of cannabis law for many years and provides interested parties and those affected with insights, clarification and practical tips on legal issues.
Workshop: Cooking with cannabis with André Schneider
Get a taste for it: The well-known cannabis chef and author of the book “High Cuisine”, André
Schneider, will be giving two workshops on cooking with cannabis at CANNAFRIENDS: “Energy Balls with Hemp” and “Molecular Fruit Spheres with Cannabinoid Infusion”.

The ticket price naturally also includes a day ticket for the trade fair.

Easy arrival by bus, train and car
The best way to get to CANNAFRIENDS is by public transport:
Simply take the train to Peine station on the Hanover-Braunschweig line.
From Peine station, bus routes 517, 530 and 531 run every 10 minutes to the Ilsede central bus station.
From there, it is only a few metres to the trade fair.
