Since March 2023, Nyke has been an important part of weed.de, a platform launched by Justin Hartfield (founder of Weedmaps).
On April 20, 2023, they jointly launched a nationwide campaign that has made the platform the largest of its kind in Germany.
Weed.de supports people in both the medical and recreational use of cannabis and is committed to destigmatizing and educating people about the topic.
Nyke Perényi discovered the diverse benefits of cannabis while studying in Antwerp. Her first contact with the plant was in Amsterdam, where she quickly realized that cannabis was much more than just a means of recreational relaxation. For Nyke, cannabis became a muse, doctor and therapist, a tool that helped her manage stress and relieve pain. This realization led her to believe that cannabis has the potential to address many of today’s challenges, including sustainability issues.
Driven by this passion, Nyke decided to publicly advocate for cannabis at the end of 2019. She began educating people about the diverse benefits of cannabis and bridging medical and recreational use. Her journey took her to numerous inspiring places and brought her into contact with like-minded people around the world. She regularly shares these experiences on her social media platforms, including YouTube (lifeby.nyke) and Instagram, where she inspires and informs a growing community.
In 2020, Nyke founded a company for sustainable hemp products and received the NRW start-up grant. Among other things, she developed the card game “Green Deal” and was actively involved in supporting young entrepreneurs in the emerging cannabis industry.
With her extensive knowledge, experience and tireless commitment, Nyke Perényi is now one of the leading voices in the German cannabis community and a sought-after speaker at trade fairs and conferences.
