Since July 1, 2024, adults have been allowed to join together in Cannabis Social Clubs (CSC) and cultivation associations to grow cannabis.
The first permit for a club in Germany was issued to a club in Lower Saxony on July 8, 2024.
With its own CSC area, CANNAFRIENDS2024, northern Germany’s largest cannabis trade fair in the historic Gebläsehalle Ilsede, between Hanover and Braunschweig, offers clubs and club founders a platform for information, presentation, exchange and networking.

Cannabis social clubs have been around for some time, but only recently have they been allowed to do what they have been committed to for many years: Growing and processing cannabis for club members.
So it’s no wonder that there are still many unanswered questions on this topic, not only with regard to the actual cultivation, but above all with regard to the legal framework, which is also differently restrictive in each federal state.
Interested parties can find out about legal issues surrounding the founding of a CSC or how to present themselves as a CSC despite the ban on advertising on the Internet in lectures, discussions and deep dives.

Easy arrival by bus, train and car
The best way to get to CANNAFRIENDS is by public transport:
Simply take the train to Peine station on the Hanover-Braunschweig line.
From Peine station, bus routes 517, 530 and 531 run every 10 minutes to the Ilsede central bus station.
From there it is only a few meters to the fair.
